Lion's Den Survival Principles

Lion's Den Survival Principles
Released...and Free?

The head of a large foundation explained to Larry Poland that a member of his board would be joining their meeting later. In due time, an attractive woman arrived, took a seat at the table, and listened as the interaction proceeded between Dr. Poland and her associate with the foundation. At a pause in the conversation, the woman said, “Dr. Poland, we have never met, but you have been a great encouragement to me and helped me through one of the most difficult times in my life. I am a news anchor at a network affiliate here in our city, and I went through an awful experience with the station, one which resulted in very  public conflict, litigation, and such. During that time period, I received your [Median] publication and read the ‘Lion’s Den Survival Principles.’ God used those principles to get me through that crisis, and I want to thank you.” While it was surprising and encouraging to hear this particular story, the ministry team had had other reports of the “Lion’s Den . . .” column ministering to believers, especially those in the often-hostile world of media.

Now, those columns are available in a book just released, Lion’s Den Survival Principles: For media professionals . . . and everyone else. It is 108 pages long and includes 24 brief chapters with 59 practical survival principles drawn from the Book of Daniel in the Hebrew Scriptures and from Daniel’s relationship with God. The principles are brought to life by many illustrations from Dr. Poland’s personal life and his media ministry experiences. One reviewer reported that after reading the book, he put it back on his “must read” stack so he could go through it again.
